We are often asked how practices “match up” against others in areas like eyewear capture rates, revenue per exam, and more.  Benchmarking is a fine way to see the strengths and weaknesses of the practice but often do not tell the whole story.  Economics, staff turnover, and environment can all affect the performance of any practice in a variety of ways.  The team of experts at PVG use metrics to formulate goals, measure progress, and make adjustments to systems.

  • Average Revenue per Exam $364 (high was $546)
  • Average capture rate of eyewear 53% (high was 78%)
  • Average rate of new frame purchase 84%
  • Average no show rate 10%
